TIME MOTO F29 | BUILT FOR THE MISSION
19 August 2026 marked an important milestone for Time Moto as the F29 officially made its breakthrough into the Malaysian market — selected for border patrol operations by the General Operations Force (GOF), or Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA), under Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs.
The milestone followed an evaluation and selection process spanning approximately three years, during which the Force carefully assessed the F29 alongside other electric off-road motorcycles available in the market.
While today's electric dirt bikes offer increasingly impressive performance, design and off-road capability, the requirements of the PGA are fundamentally different from those of a recreational rider.
They needed a machine built to perform a mission.
Border patrol operations demand mobility across challenging terrain while carrying a fully equipped rider. With operational equipment, a rider's total load can be substantial, making power delivery, payload capacity, maneuverability and durability critical considerations.
The F29 was designed around these practical requirements.
With 29 kW peak power, a 72V 60Ah battery system and a payload capacity of up to 150 kg, the F29 combines the proportions and capability of a full-size dirt bike with the immediate power delivery of an electric drivetrain.
At approximately 114 kg, its power-to-weight characteristics allow the F29 to remain agile and responsive, particularly where riders need to navigate trails, plantations, border routes and other difficult terrain.
Beyond performance, electric propulsion also brings an important operational characteristic: significantly reduced engine noise compared with conventional internal-combustion motorcycles — an advantage where a lower acoustic profile may be desirable during patrol duties.
For Time Moto, the F29's acceptance represents something much more meaningful than entering a new market. It demonstrates the potential for electric motorcycles to move beyond leisure and recreational riding and become purpose-driven mobility platforms for real operational applications.
